Teaching For OLLI

The value of Clemson OLLI membership is found in the talented instructors and facilitators who generously give of their time and energy to host programs across our four terms.
Our instructors include professionals from a variety of fields, retired faculty from universities around the country and those who have a lifelong interest in a subject and want to share their passion! Consider teaching for us today!
Why You Should Teach for OLLI
1. Our Members Themselves
Consider a group of students who are interested and motivated to learn, who are engaged in the conversation, and willing to push the limits of their personal experience in learning something new.
2. Our Location
The Charles K. Cheezem Education Center in Clemson features classrooms equipped with laptops, monitors, or projectors and modern, comfortable furniture. We also host classes via Zoom virtual meeting software, through the Clemson University Zoom account.
3. Onsite Technical Support
If needed, we can help get your presentation up and running, so that you may concentrate on your students. You may also have an OLLI volunteer class assistant.
4. Volunteer Recognition Events Each Year
We recognize and appreciate dedicated OLLI members at our Volunteer Awards and Recognition events every year. Teaching for OLLI gives you a shot at being a Fuller-McGuire awardee.
5. OLLI Course Credit
A current OLLI member who instructs receives OLLI course credit equal to the amount of the tuition fee (minus supplies) for the program he or she teaches. Host a three-hour course, for example, and receive a $29 credit; course credit must be used the following two semesters after receipt.
